Reishi is recognized to play a role in
preventing spontaneous death in cancer patients. Reishi reinforces
membrane of the cancerous cell to impede spreading. It also prevents
thrombi formation aiding in fusion of medications within the system.
When taking anti-tumor drugs and chemotherapy Ling Zhi diminishes their side-effects (Though we certainly do
not recomend these drugs) The mycelium of reishi contains high levels
of polysaccharides, which have been shown in research to induce the
production of interferon. Interferon is a protein produced inside cells to
fight viral infection
Our Ling Zhi (Reishi
Mushrooms)
Available In Tinctures and 5:1 Full Extract
Powders
Reishi had been recorded as having the
most extensive and effective healing powers in all of Traditional
Chinese Medicine!
In Traditional Chinese
Medicine, reishi is indicated for adrenal fatigue, coronary heart
disease, bronchial
asthma, insomnia, impotence, hay fever, dizziness, stomach ulcers,
depression (by addressing the shen or spirit) and
debility from long-term illness.
Today, reishi has various
applications including lowering or raising blood pressure, stimulating
liver actions, blood cleansing, and acting as an adaptogen becomming
a super powerful immune booster and helping the body fight the
effects of stress. Our Ling Zhi
mushrooms grow semi-wild on decaying logs and tree stumps in the clean
coastal provinces of China and yes, we make sure
they are always
bigger than your hand!
They are so
hard to cut with a knife that we have to slice them on a band saw
(Into about 1/2 inch cubes) for tincturing.
Most mushrooms
are around 90% water, while reishi is around 75% water. "Science"
knows it containes sterols, coumarin, mannitol, polysaccharides, and
triterpenoids (ganoderic acids) bit as usual I am sure it is what
"science" does not know that is most beneficial.

The Chinese name, Ling Zhi, means
"Herb
Of Spiritual Potency"
The adenosine in Ling Zhi relaxes
skeletal muscles, calms the central nervous system and operates against
the stimulating action of caffeine and other drugs. This also works very
well aginst depression and insomnia. This action in Traditional
Chinese Medicine addresses the shen (spirit) and is considered a way to
open the door for wisdom.
The amazing list of benefits from Ling
Zhi:
Reishi is known very
well to be anti-allergin, antioxidant, analgesic, antifungal,
anti-inflammatory, antitumor, antiviral, antiparasitic, cardiovascular,
antidiabetic, immunomodulating, hepatoprotective, hypotensive and
hypertensive, kidney and nerve tonic, and sexual potentiating.
Wow! not bad for a scary
looking piece of fungi!
Ling Zhi Can Help Get People Off Of Steroi
ds:
Ling Zhi is the only known source of a group
of triterpenes known as ganoderic acids, which have a molecular structure
very similar to steroid
hormones.
This would explain
why it is such a powerful adrenal fatigue and thyroid remedy.

Ling Zhi And It's Use For Asthma:A 2005
press release from Decision News Media stated, "An oral combination of
three Chinese herbs (About 70% Ling Zhi) with a little licorice
root and a small amount (About 20%) of the common herb known as
Ku Shen (radix sophorae flavascentis) - used to get rid of damp heat
and for lung infections. "This formula is as
effective as Predinsone at alleviating asthma
symptoms but without such severe side effects, report Chinese and American
researchers." - The release refers to a double-blind,
placebo-controlled study with a predinsone taking group and a group taking
only the Ling Zhi formula published in the September 2005 issue of the
Journal of Allergy and Clinical
Immunology.
This is available from Plant Cures as "Asthma-dren"
This is absolutely huge news! An
herb as potent as steroids in helping asthma. But the results suggest
far greater use than for just asthma. The herb group had higher levels of
cortisol. Getting your adrenals to make more cortisol on their own is the
best thing you can do to modulate any inflammation in your body and to
stop adrenal fatigue.
More Benefits of Ling
Zhi:
Reishi intensifies the body's free radical
scavenging ability and is especially effective against harmful hydroxyl
radicals. Reishi is such a strong hydroxyl radical scavenger that its
actions continue even after it is absorbed and metabolized.
Reishi is known as a cardiotonic herb due to its ability to improve
blood flow and reduce oxygen consumption in the heart muscle. Reishi
eliminates cholesterol build-up and promotes blood circulation.
Regular use of this mushroom helps regulate cholesterol levels and
platelet activity in the bloodstream.
One of the mushroom's active
ingredients, called ganoderic acids, not only have amazing steroid type
function but appear to also combat high blood pressure and reduce
LDL and triglyceride levels. They also discourage blood platelets
from clumping together, thus reducing the risk of dangerous clots.
Polysaccharides are also tumor fighters and help
stimulate the immune system. Reishi is also an adaptogen, with properties
similar to ginseng. The adenosine relaxes skeletal muscles, calms the
central nervous system and operates against the stimulating action of
caffeine. Reishi activates the body's immunity system, increasing one's
ability to fight against diseases, but it can also arrest the excessive
production of allergen to regulate overall functions in the
system. This is why it is fully half of our product called
"Strong Defense" for the Immune
system.
