The problem (As usual) was that isolated
dl-tetrahydropalmatine becomes toxic and can cause hepatitis and other
liver disorders. The thought to just concentrate the safe whole root
extract (With all the other secrets of "Mother Nature" locked in) would,
of course, never occur to them. Well
it has occured to us! Please note: these 5:1 extract powders are mostly for
licensed TCM practitioners to prescribe to their patients. The dose and
other instructions are to be written out for the patient on a one by one
basis. This is why there is
NO suggested dose on the jars. We strongly suggest Corydalis 5:1 Extract (1 ½ grams
twice daily) plus Tien Ma
Gou Teng Wan (pills as directed) takin
along with He Shou Wu (Powder or liquid
extract) In standard dose.
We
suggest Corydalis Extract (1 ½ Grams 2 - 4 times daily) with Tien Ma Gou Teng
Wan (As directed) For Menstrual Pain: We
suggest Corydalis Extract (1 ½ Grams 2- 4
times Daily) with Tien Men
Dong Liquid Extract and lots of Tulsi
Tea Be sure to see the "Pink Page" for many other female problems! We
encourage you to try combining Corydalis with other natural herbal
formulas (Remember, I said Natural - Not
meds!)
Herbs
Traditionaly used in Chinese Medicine for seizures, uncontrolled
body movement, Parkinsons, moving pain (As in Fibromyalgia)
and pain in general.
Please note: The descriptions below are from the
Traditional Chinese and or "Folk Medicine" use of herbs provided for
information and not intended to replace advice from a medical doctor or to
replace any drugs that are FDA approved.
In Traditional
Chinese Medicine, "Liver Wind" refers, in part, to uncontrolled
movement in the form of seizures, spasms, shaking or jerks. Also many
times pain that moves from one part of the body to another (Such as in
Fibromyalgia) For centuries Corydalis (Yan Hu Suo) has
been used to reduce pain and keep grand mal and other types of
seizures away.
The drug companies have observed this and (In their
usual jealous response) tried to isolate something from it for synthesis.
(And, of course, a money grabbing patent drug - whether it is safe or
not) Here is what they found:
The influence of dl-tetrahydropalmatine (THP, an active
component isolated from corydalis yanhusao root) was tested on
the development of electrically kindled
amygdala. The seizure activity was quantified by a ultrasonic system
for vertical motion measurements. Intraperitoneal injection of THP (20 or
30 mg kg-1) 30 min before applying the daily kindling stimulus prevented
the development of the kindling process.
The behavioral seizure
score and the motion responses which normally develop during electrical
kindling were reduced below their initial
values.
The results suggest that THP is a very
effective antiepileptogenic and anticonvulsant agent when applied to
electrically kindled rats.
These 100 gram 5:1 Corydalis yanhusao
extract crystals (1 gram crystals = 5 grams raw herb) are
made to easy dissolve in any liquid. They are made with a
natural water and alcohol process using fresh organic herbs
and very low heat.
Remember, seizures and movements are
not the only thing that Corydalis works for. It has long been known as the
"TCM Way To Manage Pain". Especially when other herbs are added to
direct Corydalis yanhusao to the body area where it is most needed.
Below are a few suggested Traditional Chinese Medicine
"protocols" of simple herb combinations you can use with
Corydalis Extract for various forms of "Liver Wind" and
pain. (Just keep scrolling
down)
(We would get into some legal “gray area” if it were
on the label) Please just note the suggested doses on this
website or consult a health practitoner. Thanks, Chris.

This entire combination of
herbs: Corydalis, all the herbs in Tien Ma Gou Teng Wan , (listed
below) along with He Shou Wu has been a successful "Raw
Medicine" formula in TCM against Parkinsons. (Boiled daily as "Water
Medicine") However this winds up costing much more. (Many of the raw
herbs in Tien Ma Gou Teng Wan are quite expensive to obtain) It is also
difficult for patients to prepare and tastes quite bad.
These extreamly effective pills by Herbal Times
are pure organic herbs and are of the highest quality there
is!
