herbs provided for information and not intended to

approved Slippery Elm (Ulmus fulva or Ulmas ruba
- inner bark
of the tree)
From Plant Cures
Slippery Elm is Good For
Diverticulitis, Irritable bowel, heart burn and other digestive
problems. It is also used for acne. Another formula
for major digestive problems (Which can be used very effectively with
Slippery Elm) is Central Qi
A few
"00" size capsules of it a day for about two weeks cured my dad of
almost constant
heart burn caused from an injured esophagus. When eaten in doses
of a few table spoons 2-3 times a day it can flat
cure Diverticulitis! However one thing should be considered first and that is
the possibility that you have Celiac’s Disease!
It turns out that some of these people with “Irritable
Bowel” disorder have this condition and their doctors don't recognize
it. Get the test if you want to be sure.
Note: There is a very simple
blood test for it now which can be handled at any blood work lab but you
have to tell an MD you want it - most of them don't even know
there is a test for it. This is all
fine if you
don't mind going to an MD but most MDs give me the creeps! I would
just suggest just trying Central Qi. It could put a stop to your problems.
While Slippery Elm
will work on the symptoms and provide great relief it will not cure
Celiacs Disease. This is usually an inherited condition and it would
seem the only thing one can do is stay away from foods containing gluten.

Acne Flash!
Also when Slippery Elm is applied to the face (mixed with water like mud) and left on
overnight it can get rid of many acne problems in just a few
days.
Slippery Elm is
nutritious and can be tolerated by convalescing people even better then
rice when made into a gruel. It has a way of softening the inside of the bowels
and making toxins become loose so they
can be flushed easily. This is why it is an important part of the
Ojibwa Tea or
"Essiac"
Formula.
