What I Think Of Doctors (M.D.s)
It may surprise you!
What do I think of Medical Doctors? In short, if you take out the equation of Pharmaceutical Drugs, I love them! They are absolutely awesome, greatly talented highly trained people knowing so much about the anatomy of our bodies and doing such an incredible service for mankind!
Their talents with surgery and traumatic injuries involving broken bones, gunshot wounds (the list goes on and on) are something that they really earn there money doing, no matter how much they get paid!
Doctors, my hat goes off to you! I know you are probably waiting for that infamous “But…….” However that isn’t going to happen because I have already taken out the equation of Pharmaceutical Drugs, remember?
Now let’s put the equation of Pharmaceutical Drugs back in and take a look
There are, I suppose, a few that call themselves Medical Doctors and don’t do much more than write prescriptions all day (and I am not talking about antibiotics) but I don’t even consider them doctors so my opinion has not changed.
As for doctors that really don’t like to prescribe a lot of drugs and do so sparingly, they are still absolutely awesome, greatly talented highly trained people doing an incredible service to mankind, but they now have a “sideline” It is a very hard thing to admit this, but like it or not, that “sideline” happens to be occasionally “Pushing” Dangerous Drugs to Men, Women, and Children!
Although these doctors are not making any extra money off this "sideline" (I don't think they are anyway!) it is still a side-line because it has nothing to do with the patients true health, yet everything to do with “Big Pharma’s” agenda. If you are a Christian you may also want to read Big Pharma and Our Christian Faith)
There becomes an amazing fault in the thinking of these highly trained talented minds that reaches out much farther than their deep understanding of anatomy and logic (that they know so much better than most of us) which basically says, “What is put into our bodies must be kept wholesome and natural or our liver, kidneys and other organs will reject it or become greatly harmed in trying to do so and fail”
Isn't there something in their code of ethics that says, “First Do No Harm?” In their defense, one has to say, “But it is just the way they were trained, they don’t intend to harm anyone, they were trying to help - It is just their protocol” And yes, I could not agree more with this defense for them as they are usually wonderful caring people and yet, at the same time, we see there is a flaw, something almost hypnotic, something that interferes with their wonderful highly trained knowledge of the workings of our body! How can this be?
When I was taking a course on Traditional Chinese Medicine for MDs at the University of Arizona Medical Center, I remember always seeing these huge metal letters on the entrance to the building that spelled “Bristol Meyers Squib” This, I thought, tells the whole story of how these wonderful, caring, highly trained people become flawed, brainwashed, “tainted” or whatever you want to call it
Besides owning about half of all the commercial TV spots, and bombarding us hypnotically with their rhetoric every time we watch TV, The giant pharmaceutical companies have paid for many university medical teaching buildings. If you don’t think this buys "Big Pharma" the right to have these doctors taught the way "Big Pharma" wants, then you are seriously naive!
So just how dangerous to human life is "Big Pharma"? The following is an excerpt from Death by Medicine, A shocking 30 page printable article By Gary Null, PhD; Carolyn Dean MD, ND; Martin Feldman, MD; Debora Rasio, MD; and Dorothy Smith, PhD:
Until now, Life Extension could cite only isolated statistics to make its case about the dangers of conventional medicine. No one had ever analyzed and combined ALL of the published literature dealing with injuries and deaths caused by government-protected medicine. That has now changed.
A group of researchers meticulously reviewed the statistical evidence and their findings are absolutely shocking. These researchers have authored a paper titled “Death by Medicine” that presents compelling evidence that today’s system frequently causes more harm than good.
This fully referenced report shows the number of people having in-hospital, adverse reactions to prescribed drugs to be 2.2 million per year. The number of unnecessary antibiotics prescribed annually for viral infections is 20 million per year. The number of unnecessary medical and surgical procedures performed annually is 7.5 million per year. The number of people exposed to unnecessary hospitalization annually is 8.9 million per year.
The most stunning statistic, however, is that the total number of deaths caused by conventional medicine is an astounding 783,936 per year. It is now evident that the American medical system is the leading cause of death and injury in the
Dr. Jay Cohen, M.D. says in his book, "Over Dose: The Case Against the Drug Companies" :
In comparison, about 85 people died from accidents linked to faulty Firestone tires. The Firestone deaths occurred over a period of several years -- medication reactions kill 300 people every day. Yet, it was the Firestone deaths that dominated the news for several weeks and drew Congressional hearings.
Deaths from all major airline crashes in the United States average less than 300 annually, but one airplane crash gets more media attention and governmental scrutiny than the 300 medication-related deaths that occurred not only the same day as the airline crash, but also every day before and after for decades.
Why has this epidemic of side effects gone unrecognized? Deaths from medication reactions rarely look any different than natural deaths. There's no visible wreckage to videotape, no crash sites to horrify and fascinate viewers. As media people say, "No film, no story."
Medication deaths often occur quietly in hospitals, emergency rooms, and homes. When medication-related deaths occur, it is often unclear at first whether the cause was the medication, the illness, or other factors. In other words, to much of the media, there's nothing sexy about side effects.
Moreover, the public likes to believe that our hospitals and medications are safe and that our doctors are taking every reasonable precaution.
Facing the failure of a major industry is never comfortable. How many decades did it take recognize the drunk driving problem? To bring the dangers of cigarettes to public awareness? To mandate seatbelts in cars? Maybe with medication side effects it's the same: We'd rather not know."
